Christian Housing Association

At ee-web we have been looking to develop our “Consultancy” work. We have a great deal of teaching and training experience, and get a real kick out of seeing others develop their abilities

The Christian Housing Association has recently approched ee-web with a slightly unusual request. They want to develop six, or possible seven “Micro sites” to sit alongside their large “Public” site.

Here’s what they said –

“Come and teach us how to”

  • modify / work up┬ádesigns in photoshop
  • develop a joomla template

Excellent! This is just the sort of thing that we thrive on! CHA wants to reach the stage where they can impliment design changes and significant changes in site structure on their own. Makes great sense to us!

Now you can’t learn these things over night, so this is probably going to require some training followed by some support followed by a bit more training, and a bit more support. Ah ha, a partnership.

We’ll keep you posted on this one!

  1. We a month or so into this project now, and its a really exciting one. Andy, project leader at CHA, is keen to learn, and I think learning is what he is doing.

The work has focused more on the joomla templates than the use of photoshop, which is fine of course.

I have always enjoyed teaching, and its been great watching Andy’s confidence increase, and seeing him getting to grips with css, xhtml, joomla structure and so on. He’s even been asked to take on some private comissions of his own – evidence that learning is really bedding down!
